Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
Location: Elizabeth, New Jersey
Reports To: Imaging Manager / Radiology Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, or abdominal ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians

• Prepare exam rooms and equipment for daily use and individual procedures

• Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients

• Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images

• Capture high-quality diagnostic images and document findings

• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians for accurate interpretations

• Maintain patient records and image documentation in PACS or EMR systems

• Adhere to all infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

• ARDMS certification (or eligible) in one or more specialties (e.g., OB/GYN, Abdomen, Vascular)

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of sonographic anatomy and pathology

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
