Medical Front Desk Receptionist Buffalo, NY

We are looking for a medical front desk receptionist to join our medical team in Buffalo, NY. This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work Part-time, 1 day per week, making $200 per day. The ideal candidate would have Customer service/receptionist experience, and we prefer them to have some healthcare experience as well. We are seeking someone to be a patient coordinator, who can multi-task, stay organized and proactive in a fast-paced environment.

We are a busy, highly organized multidisciplinary medical office in the Buffalo, NY area. We specialize in the use of advanced regenerative medicine to treat arthritis, sports related injuries, and chronic pain. We are looking for an exceptional concierge medical front desk receptionist to lead administration functions for our clinic. This position is a flexible part-time role and perfect for a highly qualified medical or concierge receptionist looking for additional income and competitive pay.

Essential Duties:

  • Register patients in scheduling software, confirming accuracy
  • Schedule appointments: gather pertinent information needed to complete appointments
  • Prepare charts for the next day appointments. Confirm insurance status, eligibility and referrals when needed. Confirms insurance authorizations
  • Answer multi-line phones
  • Check patients in and out, collect co-pays at time of service
  • Schedules patient examination making sure all required information is available
  • Give instructions to patients when required for scheduled procedures
  • File transcription in charts
  • Prepare billing forms and dictation
  • Pull charts for prescription refill requests
  • Complete patient prescription assistance forms
  • Prepare medical records requests and send them to requesting entities. When doctors refer to outside sources, prepare all necessary medical information to be sent
  • Sort through mail and file incoming medical records, labs, diagnostic reports into charts
  • File charts. Purge charts when necessary
  • Must be goal oriented/multitask

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to goals, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct, dress, verbal and demeanor at all times
  • Works collaboratively and supports efforts of team members
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, residents, visitors, staff

Requirements:

  • Customer service/receptionist experience
  • Medical billing/coding experience preferred

Schedule:

  • Part time -1 day per week

Compensation:

  • $200 per day
