Sycamore Springs - Director of Outpatient Services

The Director of Outpatient Services is r esponsible for the oversight of all clinical treatment programs of patients receiving treatment for psychiatric, and substance abuse issues in an outpatient setting. The Director assures that high quality clinical care is provided and that clinical functions are integrated. This position supervises family and group counseling and develops, implements, and supervises a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities/processes. Responsible for ensuring that clinical documentation is current and accurate and meets all regulatory and other standards.

Sycamore Springs is a 48-bed behavioral hospital located 50 miles north of Indianapolis on nine acres in the Cascada Business Park. The hospital, which opened in January 2012, is a regional leader in mental health and chemical dependency care. Sycamore Springs specializes in treating adults suffering from drug/alcohol dependency, mental health issues and co-occurring disorders. The hospital also offers quality assessment and treatment services for seniors. As the Director of Clinical Services you will be responsible for the oversight of all clinical treatment programs of patients receiving treatment for psychiatric, and substance abuse issues in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Our therapists utilize an evidence based approach to meet the individual needs of our patients. Our model includes group, family and individual therapy. Position Details:

  • Responsible for ensuring that company approved programs are implemented and being provided consistently.
  • Provides oversight to the therapist and provides feedback through the performance evaluation process and if necessary through counseling.
  • Ensures that all interventions (individual, group and family therapy) are performed and documented according to professional clinical standards.
  • Conducts regular audits on patient charts to ensure compliance with Springstone and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Actively participates in survey activities.
  • Coordinates performance improvement and completes monthly reporting.
  • Ensures that clarification of the therapeutic role and treatment plan with the patient and family is completed and reviewed by each therapist.
  • Actively seeks to identify new potential referral sources and maintains good working relationships with all referral sources.


Requirements:

  • Masters degree from an accredited school of social work or is qualified by education and experience in the social services needs of patients with psychiatric and substance abuse issues.
  • State Licensure
  • CPR and CPI Certification within 30 days of employment


Experience:

  • Previous experience in outpatient healthcare required. A knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles required.
