DirectShifts is seeking a MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST to work in Baltimore, MD

-- Full-time - Day shift - 8:30am-5:00pm

JOB SUMMARY: The Mental Health Therapist Team Leader oversees the clinical and administrative functions of the Partial Day Program for Children. Provides clinical oversight, structure, and supervision to mental health therapists and behavioral health technicians.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an approved Master’s degree program in social work, counseling, psychology or other related mental health field. Active and valid advanced licensure in Maryland as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C). Minimum of five years’ experience providing psychotherapy to chronically mentally ill population. Approved by state licensing board as an approved clinical supervisor. Experience providing clinical supervision. Knowledge of DSM 5 nomenclature, psychotherapy, psychodynamics, therapeutic techniques, interviewing skills, addictions, family and group theories. Experience working with children and adults in a behavioral health capacity. Experience treating substance use disorder or a dually diagnosed population preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Leadership and management skills. Ability to plan and organize time and tasks, ability to maintain composure under stress.
