Position Type: Full-Time
Term: 18-month bookings with auto-renewal (subject to performance)
Shift Availability: Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 shifts (Day, Evening, Night). The assigned shift will be full-time and fixed.
Compensation: Competitive salary with paid orientation (half-time for one week)
Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) to provide comprehensive clinical services in a public institution setting. The role involves conducting assessments, providing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and successful discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions and counseling services.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual and group therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Substance Use Disorders (SUD).
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, ensuring coordinated and effective patient care.
- Discharge Planning: Facilitate transitional care planning to connect patients with community resources and services upon release.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, reports, and documentation of progress and treatment plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on life skills and coping strategies to manage and overcome issues related to SUD and other mental health challenges.
- Team Participation: Attend case conferences, trainings, meetings, and committees as required.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Current and valid MFT license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
- Education: Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution, meeting the requirements stipulated in Business and Professional Code 4980.36.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 continuous months of relevant experience within the last 3 years (excluding internships).
- Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license required for on-ground transportation.
- Compliance: Must pass a drug screening (including THC) and FBI fingerprinting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an acute care or correctional setting.
- Knowledge of the California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 22, Division 5, Chapter 12, Article 1, Section 79543.
Additional Requirements:
- Licensing Verification: Vendor must verify that all licenses and certifications are active and free of misconduct.
- Timely Renewals: Ensure all required licenses and certifications are renewed and submitted at least 30 days prior to expiration.
- Availability: Candidates must disclose any planned time off within the first year at the time of screening.
- Orientation: Must attend a minimum one-week orientation period.
