Job Description
DirectShifts is seeking a Bilingual Case Manager to work in San Francisco, CA.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or a related field, and at least two years paid work experience with homeless adults with multiple disabilities. Masters' Degree in Social Work (MSW) and/or Masters in Family and Child Therapist (MFT) degree preferred. Past experience working with homeless adults and dually and triple-diagnosed individuals desired.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral and health psychology.
- Must be willing to provide support, advocacy and develop relationships following harm reduction principles with a very diverse homeless population, including Spanish speaking immigrants, day laborers, women, LGBT, African Americans, active drugs users and people with mental illness and other disabilities.
- Ability to work with de-escalation techniques, conflict resolution and emergency response.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work professionally and ethically in a multi-cultural team setting, including ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings.
