The Cash Financial Posting Specialist position is responsible for providing financial accounting cash posting and collection services to the facilities which includes balancing data entered into the system, performing basic computer system maintenance, contacting patients to follow up with any outstanding account balances, report preparation and any other duties as assigned.

Position Details
- Accurately posts deposits and adjustments to patient accounts
- Performs patient account research and follow up
- Performs patient account data entry and maintenance
- Ensures accurate capturing and posting of financial activity and maintains accounts receivable at amounts appropriate for payer and acuity mix
- Balances all cash transactions on daily basis and at month end close
- Resolves any variance for current and previous months
- Distributes and/or scans remits and correspondence in a timely manner
- Proactively reports issues or concerns effecting the collection efforts for the facilities to CBO Supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with accounting, cash posting and insurance companies preferred.
- Prior experience with accounts receivable in a healthcare setting.
- May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
