Responsibilities of the Pediatric Social Work/Behavorial Specialist
The Behavioral Health Specialist provides screening, assessment, and short-term counseling for mental health and substance abuse issues in a primary care setting.
Ideal candidate will understand the concept of integrating behavioral health in primary care.
Looking for someone who will have the ability to make prompt clinical assessment of behavior and mental conditions using assessment tools and provide appropriate interventions and short-term solution-based therapy.
The Behavioral Health Specialist will refer to community therapists as needed.
Minimum Requirements of the Social Worker/Behavioral Specialist
- Masters in Psychology or Social Work is required.
- Licensed as a mental health provider or ability to obtain licensure.
- Pediatric experience is a plus
