Cardiac Monitor Technician - (Cardio - CM Tech)
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $1150.00 - 1550.00

To accomplish this job successfully, an individualmust be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, eachessential function satisfactorily. · Prepare patients for radiologicprocedures, escort patients to dressing and/or exam rooms, provide verbaland/or written instructions, assist patients in positioning body parts to be imaged,explain procedures, and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, andcomfort during scan. · Operate radiologic equipment toproduce images of the body for diagnostic purposes and position radiologicequipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according tospecification of examination and use radiation safety measures and protectiondevices to ensure safety of patients and team members. · Ensure radiologic equipment remains inworking order, and report equipment malfunctions to Radiology Manager and maintainadequate radiologic supplies. · Perform related administrative duties:including but not limited to scheduling patients, placing orders, archiving inPACS, moving images to reading platform, completing necessary exam specificforms, maintaining repeat, QC, and patient holding logs, and collecting STATSdata.· Assess orders to the correct needs forPrior Authorization, exam performance, and billing. · Troubleshoot issues pertaining to patientaccounts, orders, exams, prior imaging, and all other related occurrences.· Perform EKG tests, DEXA scans and CTscans independently and proficiently. (On the job training provided.)· Demonstrate knowledge and compliancewith facility-wide and departmental policies and procedures.· Exhibit flexibility in response tochanging work situations (schedule changes, leaving early, staying late, ortaking late breaks when workload calls for it).· Rotate through the call scheduleaccording to the weekly needs of the department (the amount of call will dependon the number of employees within the department).· Actively participate in the ComplianceProgram, education/in-services, competencies and demonstrate compliance withrequired laws and regulations.· Maintain currentLicensure/Registration/Certification.

Required Qualifications
: Approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and BLS Certification current.
