BURIEN, WASHINGTON. START DATE: 9/16/2019 for 13 weeks. SHIFT: 6a-4:30p and Call Requirements 1-2 nights a week/ 1-2 weekends a month. REQUIRED: 2+ years of experience and 50 mile radius rule. American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)] required. Current Certification from Washington State as a Radiology Technician. BLS required. Advanced Vascular Intervention Certification preferred. Washington Society of Radiological Technologist (WSRT) recommended. Performing special interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels, they are under the direction of a licensed physician using radiologic imaging for guiding the procedure. Work includes but is not limited to (1) reviewing and/or recording pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data; (2) preparing patients for testing; (3) using C-arms, fluoroscopy, and tomography to perform exams and procedures and obtaining a record of anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician; (4) participating in interventional cardiovascular catheterization and/or cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including balloon angioplasty, stent insertion, radiofrequency ablation, and pacemaker and/or implantable defibrillator insertion; (5) compiling a foundation of data that is interpreted by physicians in order to make a correct anatomic, physiologic, and pathologic diagnosis for each patientSkill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Please include required certs· ACLS/BLS; Rad Tech (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Tech (RCIS and Wa DOH CVIS)· Active WA License Required· Knowledge of Cardiac, Vascular and IR proceduresPreferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.· RCIS· Ability to Scrub and Monitor on GE MacLabList typical procedures performed on unit(s): · STEMI, Heart Caths, TAVR, Watchman, EP Ablations, Peripheral Vascular, AAA, IR, Ports, Dialysis fistulas, Chemo Emobolizations, Pacemakers, ICDS, CRTDs, Loop recorders, TEE, DCCV, etc.· Everything EXCEPT Neuro.Best personality Fit:· Type A- Go getter, tough skin to weather tough docs/high stress environment with Emergency cases· Team Player- There is no hierarchy in this lab, Nurses and Techs are a team and interchangeable.Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.· Scrub Color - Hospital Issued· AORN standards, Beards and hair covered, long jackets, etc. Have Hospital lead to loan if they don’t bring their own.
