Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) to provide behavior therapy services for students within a schools in Washington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support during transportation, extended days and community outings, enabling the students to participate in a full-time summer program.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Certified by the Washington Department of Health
  • Experience in educational environment or setting
  • Strong foundational understanding of behavior analytic principles

Responsibilities:
  • Consultation with school staff and parents
  • Under the supervision of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), support the implementation of and adjustments to Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Monitor and record/collect behavior data and assist with analysis of data
  • Implement behavior analytic strategies as outlined in Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Assist students in the general education classroom in completing modified assignments or tasks to their capability and/or need
  • May assist physically involved students in daily needs (g-tubes, walkers,toileting, transferring and lifting, etc.)
  • May be required to assist students on the bus ride to and from school as well as the duration of the school day
  • Prepare learning tools for students and modify lessons for special occasions or subjects, under teachers direction
  • Provide students supervision. Includes supervision of activities such as recess duty, lunch duty, bathroom needs, bus duty, etc.
  • Attend trainings related to duties of paraprofessional and RBT positions such as Restraint, CPR, First Aide, Assistive Technology and other trainings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
