Job Description
Overview
Under the direction of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Program Manager (PM), or higher licensed medical professional, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and professional office support to the operations management team.
Qualifications
Education:
• High school graduate
• Bachelors or Associate Degree, preferred
Experience:
• One (1) year of experience working in an office environment, or completion of business courses with certification
• Previous correctional/detention facility experience
• Two (2) years of experience working in an office environment, or completion of business courses with certification
• Human Resources experience
• Experience with monitoring and tracking employees’ hours and scheduling
• Experience with scheduling appointments and follow up with patient care (or Medical Front Office experience)
• Experience using timekeeping and scheduling software, or ability to learn
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record systems, or ability to learn
Licenses/Certifications:
• Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS certification through AHA
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the HSA, Assistant HSA, and Director of Nursing
- Collect and maintain statistical data as directed by the Health Service Administrator
- Assist in payroll functions, such as verification of time cards and coordination with the corporate office to ensure that all documentation required for payroll purposes is provided
- Assist the Health Service Administrator with updating employee personnel records as directed
- Inventory and order all clerical supplies and forms
