Human Resources Coordinator

Highland Springs is a 72-bed behavioral hospital located near Cleveland, OH. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment to adults, adolescents and their families. At Highland Springs we are dedicated to Changing People’s Lives®.

The Human Resource Department plays a key role in helping fulfill our mission of “Changing People’s Lives®”. The Human Resource Coordinator assists the Human Resources Director in building the overall team through recruiting and hiring of hospital staff, onboarding/training new employees and ensuring a positive overall culture at the facility. Position Details

  • Sets recruitment interviews, completes background and reference checks and documents information accurately
  • Assists with preparing pre-hire process, notifies IT of new hires to set up accounts, completes other pre-hire tasks to ensure the smooth transition of employees
  • Enters information into HRIS system
  • Audits systems and notifies both employees and managers of compliance issues, i.e. CPI/CPR, Licensure, competencies and evaluations
  • Provides follow up to work related injuries, including maintaining the OSHA log and follow up with workers’ compensation issues
  • Provides follow up to unemployment issues, including assisting with preparation of responses to requests for information by the bureau
  • Assists employees with HR related requests
  • Assists with leave administration
  • Reconciliation of HR related invoices
  • Assists with benefits administration including assisting with enrollment and termination of benefits providing information for COBRA notification
  • Maintains personnel files in compliance with Joint Commission standards
  • Assists with metric/quality reporting
  • Assists with employee relations issues, including investigation and follow up discipline as needed
  • Takes initiative to gather information to create an informative and appropriate newsletter for staff
  • Assists with MD Credentialing, as needed
  • Provides support to other departments as directed.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in Human Resources
