The Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) is the largest state agency with more than 12,000 employees across the Commonwealth. We operate secure facilities and probation and parole offices to provide care and supervision for offenders under state custody.
Virginia continues to maintain the lowest recidivism rate in the country for the third year in a row at 23.4%.
