Medical Laboratory Technician - (Med Lab Tech - MLT)

MT/MLS/MLT need for travel job in Lincoln, NE - 13 week contract on night shift.

Working under the supervision of a medical technologist, medical laboratory technicians perform routine tests in various areas of clinical laboratory testing, including:

• Blood banking
• Chemistry
• Hematology
• Immunology
• Microbiology Medical laboratory technicians may also be responsible for preparing specimens and operating automated analyzers, or performing manual tests.

Required Qualifications
MT/MLS - Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science or related field from a four-year college or university required. Minimum of one (1) year clinical laboratory experience in a comparable laboratory environment required.
MLT - Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related laboratory science from a two-year college or CLIA- approved Military MLT program required.

Preferred Qualifications
Microbology is a plus.
MT/MLS - American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification as an MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP) or equivalency preferred.
MLT - American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification as an MLT (ASCP) or equivalency preferred.
