Medical Laboratory Technician - (Med Lab Tech - MLT)

Working under the supervision of a medical technologist, medical laboratory technicians perform routine tests in various areas of clinical laboratory testing, including:
- Blood banking
- Chemistry
- Hematology
- Immunology
- Microbiology Medical laboratory technicians may also be responsible for preparing specimens and operating automated analyzers, or performing manual tests.
Required Qualifications
- ASCP
- Utilized Sunquest within the last year. ( This is our LIS system)
- Experience with the following equipment: Abbott Architect; Beckman Coulter LH750 & HmX, preferably attached to middleware Remisol; Stago Coagulation analysers;Siemens UA
- Proficient at Culture set up, gram stains, starting workup for positive blood cultures.
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Strong Blood Bank to include automated systems.
