Our client is a private, non profit, acute care community hospital in the Northeast area of Vermont.
This facility is seeking a full time Lab Tech for a full time position.
The Lab Tech will perform clinical testing in all laboratory areas for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. The tech obtains or receives specimens, performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understands method principles, performs quality control, performs preventative maintenance, and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability and critical limits. The tech works independently, organizing work to meet job competence.
The candidate must be Nationally recognized certification credentials or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a Bachelor's degree in a related science with approved clinical laboratory scientist training or Associate Degree in Medical Technology or Associate Degree in a related science with approved clinical laboratory scientist training plus eight years working in a clinical laboratory.
