Medical technologists, or clinical laboratory scientists, are responsible for performing complex tests on blood and other body fluids, such as: biological, chemical, hematological, immunological, microscopic, and bacteriological tests. Medical technologists analyze samples for chemical content or reaction, determine concentrations of compounds, and type and cross match samples for blood transfusions. They are also held responsible for the accuracy of the tests they run and the results they find.
