POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the efficient
and profitable management of rehabilitation services in his/her assigned accounts. In
addition to serving as a Program Manager in assigned accounts, the Senior Program
Manger assists the Area Director and provides support and mentoring to Program
Managers under his/her supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITITES:
1. Supervises Program Managers in assigned accounts providing orientation, mentoring
and training.
2. Assumes responsibility for the efficient and profitable management of rehabilitation
services in the accounts of Program Managers under their supervision.
3. Ensures the highest standard of rehabilitation services is consistently provided.
4. Oversees completion of annual performance appraisals of therapy staff within
accounts of the Program Managers under their supervision.
5. Supports Program Managers in personnel management including hiring/terminating
of therapy staff (with approval from the Area Director and HR).
6. Ensures Program Managers’ compliance for completing facility reports on a weekly
and monthly basis.
7. Assists Area Director in annual budget preparation.
8. Assumes responsibility for meeting annual budget goals as set by the Area Director.
9. Assists Area Director in identifying and securing new contracts.
10. Assists Area Director in managing key customer relationships.
11. Performs other related duties as required.
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Senior Program Manager position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
in a rehabilitation discipline (PT/OT/SLP) with a valid state license to practice. Additionally, the Senior Program Manager must have three years of direct patient care experience and at least two years of management experience. Experience in long term care is preferred.

•Must have a thorough knowledge of Medicare and third party billing.
•Must possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family
members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
•Must possess the ability to effectively manage/motivate staff.
OTHER RELATED DUTIES:
The Senior Program Manager interacts with corporate management, facility
residents, families, visitors, center staff and others. He/she completes
other tasks as requested in situations where hands on intervention/ participation may
be required.
