Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric - (RRT - Peds - Pedi)
StartDate: 02/23/2015Available Shifts: 12 E/N Pay Rate: $31.00 - 36.00

Ohio Licensed Respiratory Therapists needed ASAP in the Columbus, Ohio area for 13-week travel assignments! Shifts include evenings, nights, and weekends. Start date end of February and/or beginning of March. Candidates will possess a 2 or 4 year Respiratory Care Program degree. Candidates must possess experience in adult and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures such as aerosolized delivery of medication, mechanical ventilation, assisting with intubations and extubations, pulmonary function studies, emergency care, and obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gases. Initiating and administering therapeutic procedures, diagnostic test and education in accordance with departmental policy and procedures. Providing respiratory care, ensuring an environment of patient safety, promoting evidence based practice and quality initiatives and exhibiting professionalism in the care of patients and their families. Maintaining a well-stocked and organized work area. Communicating pertinent clinical information and collaborating with physicians, house staff and other health care disciplines regarding patient care, treatment and/or plan of care.

The role of the registered respiratory therapist (ERT) is to assist certified respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals in the care of patients needing improved respiratory function.

Required Qualifications
Candidates will possess a 2 or 4 year Respiratory Care Program degree. This position requires an Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License and NBRC.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must possess experience in adult and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures such as aerosolized delivery of medication, mechanical ventilation, assisting with intubations and extubations, pulmonary function studies, emergency care, and obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gases.
