Occupational Therapist - Acute - (OT - Acute)
StartDate: 08/04/2014Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $41.00 - 43.50

Acute care hospital is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Occupational Therapist to join the team in their Inpatient Unit. Candidates must be willing to support a friendly, positive and professional environment.

An occupational therapist (OT) is responsible for providing assistance to patients who need help performing a wide variety of activities, especially daily needs (e.g., dressing, cooking, eating, driving, etc.) and motor skills. In addition, occupational therapy requires an OT to perform comprehensive at-home and job-site evaluations, and maintain an open line of communication with patients’ family members and caregivers. They may have a number of specialties, including:

  • Acute
  • Hand
  • Home health
  • Long-term care
  • Outpatient
  • Pediatric
  • Psychiatric
  • Rehabilitation
  • School


Required Qualifications
-Must maintain current licensure from Ohio Board of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers.
-Obtain/maintain Basic Life Support Certification (CPR).

Preferred Qualifications
-Maintain the Standards set by the American Occupational Therapy Association regarding treatment procedure and professional ethics.
-Pass annual safety test.
-Achieve competencies for assigned work area as dictated by director (i.e., age specific, suctioning, aseptic technique).
