Job Description

QuarterLine provides professional health care staffing services to military hospitals and health clinics across the United States. We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Psychologist in support of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

The Psychologist will be working with the FOCUS program (Families OverComing Under Stress). This program provides training to military couples, children and families in core resilience skills. These skills increase closeness, support, communication and adaptability. Couples and families learn to work together to manage difficult emotions, set goals and problem solve, communicate clearly and effectively, and develop customized strategies to deal with transitions and stress.

Required Qualifications:

Education: The clinical psychologist is required to hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Psychology Doctor (Psy.D.) degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA approved psychology program (or a program acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Army).
Residency: Have completed an APA approved internship/residency in clinical psychology (or an internship/residency acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Army).
Licensure: Have and maintain a current license to practice psychology in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Experience: Have a minimum of one (1) year’s post-doctoral experience within the past five (5) years in the independent practice of psychology in the area of the clinical psychology, preferably in a Government setting such as a Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF. Prior experience working with physicians providing medical psychological services is desired.
Must possess knowledge of the following:
Demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding the delivery of clinical psychology programs.
Demonstrate computer literacy sufficient to operate a personal computer utilizing psychological test, word processing, database and spread sheet programs, electronic medical record, and possess basic typing skills sufficient to efficiently produce the psychologist’s own reports and correspondence.
Have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) as certified by the American Heart Association. Documentation of such training will be provided to the COR. The front and back of the BCLS will be provided to the Credentialing Department.
