Job Description

We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to work in Sasebo, Japan! The right candidate must possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university. A one year fellowship or residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine or possess one year of experience in the last four years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problem. Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university. A one year fellowship or residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine or possess one year of experience in the last four years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems. Licensure shall be in good standing, and under no restrictions, with the state licensure board in any state in which a license is held or has been held within the last 10 years. Provider shall maintain current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course; American Red Cross CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) for the Professional Rescuer; or equivalent. Provider shall be current with and have completed all continuing education requirements specified by their professional licensure or certification. Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
