Job Description

QuarterLine provides professional healthcare staffing services to military hospitals and health clinics across the United States. We are currently seekin a full-time Clinical Psychologist at Naval Branch Health Clinic (NBHC), Naval Air Station (NAS) Meridian, MS, in support of Naval Hospital Pensacola, FL.

The Clinical Psychologist will work in support of the Psychological Health initiative under the Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (PH and TBI) program. The program seeks to address gaps in the care available for the prevalent injuries among combatants from the global war on terrorism. Through adoption of risk based staffing models and a uniform, best practice standard of care across DOD, the program seeks to ensure easy, rapid access to PH care for all beneficiaries and to ensure that transition across networks of care recognizes the unique care coordination and case management requirements for PH and TBI patients.

The Clincial Psychologist will provide personnel for service in the Psychiatric Clinic at Naval Air Station (NAS), Meridian, MS. The healthcare worker may have an occasional need to travel to NBHC Corry Station Pensacola, FL, Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL (NASP), or the Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) Clinic (located at NBHC Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL) to accomplish assigned duties. All locations are within 20 miles of each other.

Schedule/Hours: Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm for an 8.5-hour period (including an uncompensated 30 minute meal break), or the Clinical Psychologist may work four, 11 hour periods (including an uncompensated 1 hour meal break). Services will not normally be required on the day of observance of Federal holidays. The Clinical Psychologist will be on duty for approximately 40 hours each week, except during periods of approved leave and holidays. In no instance will the Clinical Psychologist be required to provide services (on-site service plus approved leave and holidays) in excess of 80 hours per 2-week period. The Clinical Psychologist will be scheduled across the psychiatric clinic operating hours on a flexible basis. Alternative schedules may be implemented such as a compressed work schedule. The specific schedule for each 2-week period will be scheduled 1 month in advance by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: Possess a minimum experience of 2 years within the last three years as a Clinical Psychologist.
Must have 2 years experience within the past 2 years to demonstrate clinical competency.
License: Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Must be in good standing, and under no restrictions, with the state licensure board in any state in which a license is held or has been held within the last 10 years.
Must be current with and have completed all continuing education requirements specified by their professional licensure or certification.
Certification: Healthcare Workers shall maintain current certification in one of the following: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course. Other certifications may be acceptable if specified in the task order. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association or Military Training Network emblem.
Education: Possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university.
Successful completion of a psychologist intern program.
