FAMILY ADVOCACY OUTREACH MANAGER (FAOM)

1st American Systems and Services is recruiting for an Outreach Manager for Aviano AFB in Italy.
Requirements/ Education: A U.S. licensed master social worker (MSW). Any level of licensure is acceptable; independent clinical counseling experience is not required. Master’s degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CWSE) accredited school.
Experience: A minimum of two years full-time post-master’s degree experience (within the last three years) working with children, families, and groups in clinical or community organization settings; or as program manager, with demonstrated responsibilities in program planning with implementation of education and intervention services, and community collaboration.

Experience working with professionals and agencies that provide community support and counseling intervention services to children and families.

Job Description:

The FAOM provides community behavioral health education, family violence education and prevention training, resource finding and service linking, and prevention program interventions to promote protective factors and to address maltreatment risk factors. The FAOM manages the Prevention/Outreach Program with goals to deter predictable problems, decrease maladaptive behaviors, maintain, enhance & protect existing states of wellness, and promote quality of life objectives. A key element of the Outreach Manager’s duties include outreach, education, and intervention with active duty, including squadron on-site prevention promoting respect for duty and family to support mission readiness. The FAOM develops and facilitates processes for prevention planning, program implementation, public awareness activities, and intervention and service delivery.
