Job Description
Position Summary:
Perform patient evaluation and treatments under the direction of a physician’s order and the guidelines of all State, Federal, and Professional laws and regulations. Complete all required documentation and billing for such services to ensure high quality patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
Minimum Qualification:
Education: Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Maintains a current active license in the state of practice.
Experience: A new graduate or a minimum of one year of experience as a practicing therapist in the healthcare field is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive patient evaluation as ordered under the direction of a physician.
- Develop and implement an individualized plan of care to meet patient’s and family’s goals in order to restore and/or maintain a patient’s highest level of function and quality of life through the utilization of selected physical therapy procedures including physical agents, therapeutic exercise, manual gait training and other therapeutic procedures.
- Communicate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive medical and rehabilitation services.
- Consult with physicians concerning goals and treatments and monitors for any contradictions to treatment.
- Complete comprehensive documentation of all services as required by the facilities’ policies and procedures.
